Termination of lessons
No refund or credit will be given for discontinued lessons.
If a student and/or parent should decide to terminate lessons, the studio requires four weeks’ notice (not holiday). This is to accommodate potential students on the waiting list. Such notice must be delivered to Lien-Ying Lin personally. Payment is due this four-week period whether or not lessons are taken, or four weeks fees paid in lieu of notice.

Practice Expectations
If there is a lack of progress, there is probably a lack of practice! A student’s progress is determined by dedicated practice, not by simply attending lessons. Ideally, students should practice every single day. Specific amounts of practice time are not assigned to each student. Students should practice long enough to complete their weekly assignments. The quality of practice time is more important than the quantity of practice time.
Parent Support is an extremely important factor in musical training. Students whose parents take an active role in their progress tend to be more enthusiastic and productive. Create a quiet space where the student can practice and schedule a time for practice each day.
